About this deal
For the optimized mode, we run the GPU fan speed at 30 percent and run the CPU and included case fans at their lowest speed. While the 5000T shares the same overall design, it’s still unique in the line-up and offers some compelling features for its top-tier cost of entry.
To help with wire management, Corsair ships an extra six straps to work with their plastic trail wire management system, and four of these will fit in the one surrounding the fan hub. The space between the fan brackets and cable cover is more than adequate to install 25mm-thick fans, and the cable cover is designed to act as a fan shroud.
For reference, our Gigabyte RTX 3070 Ti Gaming OC is a triple-fan card and there was still plenty of room for the case fans to move air. This is what brings this 5000T’s RGB goodness to life, along with it being a convenient fan hub, allowing for up to six fans (three more than the trio that’s included in the box) and six of Corsair’s RGB headers. You may have noticed the chassis name showing up in the previous image, but we feel this placement is ridiculous.
The inclusion of five USB3 ports (even if only one is a Gen 2 Type-C) adds a measure of practicality to the panache and even gives us something to do with that second Gen 1 header found on so many higher-spec motherboards. The motherboard fit with ease and was mostly easy to wire cleanly, and the GPU hangs level and secure, as it should.I was able to jump it iCUE and sync all of my fans into my usual thunderstorm lighting scene within just a few minutes of loading the program. Testing thermals was much like testing an AIO from Corsair, where we used all three modes of active cooling.
