About this deal

Deeper into the Wood was an inspiring read, and it encouraged me to care for my own land with greater devotion. If we all tended our land as well as the author did, Nature would benefit greatly. One can't get no satisfaction! Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood, 76, is joined by glamorous wife Sally, 46, as they chat to Prince William at the Tusk Awards

Omid Scobie's new book is branded 'vicious' as he claims Charles, Camilla and William conspired to undermine Harry and MeghanHeidi Klum gives a glimpse into her family life as she shares a rare snap featuring her four children I particularly enjoyed her beautiful artwork dotted throughout the book and her map of the wood at the start (to me there is no better book than one with a map!). In my mind's eye I could ‘walk’ through the areas she started to describe. I also found the scattered anecdotes of the history about the Somerset Levels a lovely way of grounding her new wood by giving it a past.

Revealed: Extreme Weight Loss star Brandi Mallory was 'full of life' and 'encouraged everybody around her' before sudden death at age 40 This book is a highly personable mix of memoir and nature writing, as the title - with a nod to Virginia Woolf - suggests. Ruth Pavey, a longtime Londoner who is the Gardening Correspondent for the Ham & High local newspaper, brings together several of her talents in this book: a charming and self-deprecating writing style, delicate drawings and a down-to-earth discussion of trees and plants. The reader need not be hugely interested or knowledgeable about horticultural matters to enjoy it. Getting the cottage refurbished took time, but all, by and large, went well and now the cottage is more comfortable than the Rollalong ever could be. You can see where this is going. Hampstead Garden Suburb puts on its green wellies and goes to Zummerzet. The wilderness is tamed, the countryside is tidied up. In my view there is far too much tidying-up of the countryside already, without it being written up approvingly in so-called nature books. She comes across as slightly patronising 0f the locals - I would be interested to know what the Somerset neighbours make of it all.Gwyneth Paltrow joins ex Chris Martin, Dakota Johnson and children Apple and Moses on a helicopter after Thanksgiving party

By choosing this route, she neither conserves the orchard with its historical interest, nor the wood with its ecological one; instead creating a forest garden (a term which she refuses). Such is her prerogative as the land's owner; and I don't have to like it. And of course I think about all the children I’ve thought about all these years,” she pointed out. “All the children I knew, my grand nieces and nephews and my friend’s grandchildren. That’s why I think it good planting trees that offer fruits to others.” The nuances of the seasons are beautifully embroidered within Ruth’s gentle narrative, which is heartfelt in its honesty and description. She also enhances the chronicle of the year with a number of divergences in each chapter into a number of fascinating vignettes on local history, geology, and culture of the area of the wood. What also helps to bring the story to life is the compendium of individuals experts and artisans that embellish the story with interesting facts and information. You can’t plant trees on land unless you own it,” Ruth, now 70, tells me at her home in Roden Street, Holloway. “So ages ago I started to look for somewhere I could call my own. We don’t know what the future will bring. We’re living in the worst time I can remember and I do feel frightened, though not for myself.Selma Blair reveals a doctor once told her to get a BOYFRIEND after she sought help for agonizing MS symptoms - as she opens up about pain Olivia Colman looks startlingly different as conniving latex-clad oil exec 'Oblivia Coalmine' in Richard Curtis's eco-advert Leonardo DiCaprio's looking fine at 49!
