Product Information

An enchantress disguised as a beggar woman offers a rose to a cruel and selfish prince in exchange for shelter from a storm. When he refuses, she reveals her identity and, for the prince's arrogance, she transforms him into a beast and his servants into strange animals. She casts a spell on the rose and warns the prince that the spell will only be broken if he learns to love another and be loved in return before the last petal falls, which would occur at the beginning of his 21st year, or he will remain a beast forever.

The film also aired on ITV1 on Christmas Day 1986 & 1987, 27th December 1993, Christmas Eve 1994 and 27th December 1998 and Channel 4 with the film's final TV airing on Christmas Day 2017. It is currently unknown whenever this film would be aired on BBC1 at this stage. The peddler's singing voice was provided by Bruce Adler. Fondly remembered as Walt Disney's favorite animated film, BAMBI is a funny, touching, timeless masterpiece that every child should grow up with. Frank Welker as Abu, Aladdin's kleptomaniac pet monkey with a falsetto voice. Welker also voices Jasmine's tiger Rajah and the Cave of Wonders. Duncan Marjoribanks was the supervising animator for Abu, Aaron Blaise was the supervising animator for Rajah and Goldberg was the supervising animator for the Cave of Wonders.
