Introduction and Notes by Dr David Rogers, Kingston University 'There he lay looking as if youth had been half-renewed, for the white hair and moustache were changed to dark iron-grey, the cheeks were fuller, and the white skin seemed ruby-red underneath; the mouth was redder than ever, for on the lips were gouts of fresh blood, which trickled from the corners of the mouth and ran over the chin and neck. As the design is so straightforward, I find it difficult to see how gaffe's were made on this edition, which makes the use of the word 'facsimile' questionable. As the suave and chilling Count stalks his prey from a crumbling castle in the Carpathians to a lunatic asylum in Purfleet and the bedrooms of his swooning female victims, the drama builds to a fever pitch of sensuality and suspense.

I wasn't expecting absolute 100% perfection, but, as 'facsimile' means an exact copy, especially in printed material, I kind of expected something pretty close, even more so because the original publisher had undertaken the project.

This is not intended to be a full statement of all your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations. However, despite literary acclaim, Stoker was never able to make much money from his work and died in 1912 almost penniless. The book is an excellent edition of the Bram Stoker classic, although I won't be reading it (I have another edition) but all looks OK. Towards morning I slept and was wakened by the continuous knocking at my door, so I guess I must have been sleeping soundly then.

Even after all these years, it remains a gripping and chilling tale that will haunt your thoughts long after you've closed the book. We are experiencing delays with deliveries to many countries, but in most cases local services have now resumed. The way he weaves together various narratives through journal entries, letters, and diary pages adds a unique and immersive dimension to the story, making it feel all the more real. Neil has published over forty books, has written for national magazines and journals and appears on television documentaries and factual programmes as a guest historian including Who Do You Think You Are? Which would explain why the title and author lettering doesn't touch the edges of the spine as the on the 1st edition's.

A graduate of the University of East Anglia, he lectures across the UK and has assembled a fine collection of original First and Second World War images to illustrate his works. The impression I had was that we were leaving the West and entering the East; the most western of splendid bridges over the Danube,2 which is here of noble width and depth, took us among the traditions of Turkish rule. A perfect gift for players and GMs wishing to supplement their knowledge of the definitive classic that inspired a host of gothic settings, or those that find joy in accompanying their candlelight - England to Transylvania- with the soft golden turn of captivating pages. Beautiful presentation, hard backed, gold foil page edges, cloth bookmark stitched into the spine, lovely dust-cover, and a micro size that can fit in any pocket or bag.

Bram wrote numerous articles, short stories and poetry for newspapers and magazines, he had a total of eleven novels and two collections of short stories published in his lifetime, but he would only become known for one of them – Dracula. It an interesting read and easy to get on with, I find some biographies can drag on but I felt compelled to read on. Neil's other books published by Pen and Sword Books Ltd include: The King’s Men: The Sandringham Company and Norfolk Regiment Territorial Battalions 1914 – 1918, Beating the Nazi Invader and Britain’s Coast at War. It provides, in beautiful canvas-bound hardcover, a reprinting of the 1897 first edition, as opposed to the abridged 1901 edition (there are only these two official ‘Dracula’ versions in circulation). Soon afterwards, various bizarre incidents unfold in England: an apparently unmanned ship is wrecked off the coast of Whitby; a young woman discovers strange puncture marks on her neck; and the inmate of a lunatic asylum raves about the 'Master' and his imminent arrival.
